Next internship commences: 1 July 2012 For a minimum period of three months Closing date for applications: Please allow sufficient time for your application documents to reach us by 31 April 2011. Your responsibilities - Preparation of the 2012 Summer Academy held at Hohenkammer near Munich
- Preparing the 8th International Microinsurance Conference in Tanzania
- Providing support for the preparation of the Munich Re Foundation's 2013 dialogue forums
- Helping to conduct the foundation's "2012 Positionen" report
- Providing day-to-day support for our project managers, undertaking research and updating our media library
Competences – you will - be studying for a degree in science, geography, business management, economics, politics or an equivalent field
- have a sound grasp of international environmental and development policy
- possess good Word/Excel/PowerPoint skills
- have a very good command of German and English; other foreign languages would be an advantage
Organisational aspects - This internship is a paid position (€850 per month)
- The working hours are 37 per week
- Internship may be a compulsory part of your study programme or undertaken solely on your own initiative
- The internship is intended for enrolled students or prospective master's students. We regret that we are not able to consider graduates who have no certificate of enrolment.

- Using a content management system to post web reports and photos
- Maintaining website traffic statistics (click-through rates, visits, etc.)
- Producing a quarterly newsletter using an eC-messenger system
Competences - Very sound command of German and English
- Experience in handling web content and texts
- CMS, source code and HTML experience
- Programming skills are desirable but not essential
- Careful, precise style of working
Organisational aspects - The work student position will be remunerated on an hours-worked basis
- The working hours are from 5–10 per week
- The hours worked are flexible provided they are agreed with the project managers
