Dialogue forums on "Resources"Where are we going? From record oil and prohibitive petrol prices, to food crises caused by biofuels, to nuclear power, coal or solar power as sources of energy – resources have been a dominant topic in public debate and the media in 2008. Where does our food come from and is there enough for all? Will our natural resources be exhausted soon? Who will suffer most from the scarcity of raw materials, who will benefit? And what does this mean for the economic, political and social development here and elsewhere? These and other questions will be discussed at five evening forums to be held between October 2008 and April 2009. This is the fourth dialogue forum series organised by the Munich Re Foundation. The 2008/2009 series will focus on the current and future availability of resources. High-ranking experts will give answers to local and global questions that concern us all. Join us and take part in the debate. We look forward to five very interesting and stimulating evenings. Tuesday, 21 October 2008, 7.00 p.m.
