Climate neutral

The Munich Re Foundation has offset greenhouse gas emissions caused by the 2005 Microinsurance Conference: „Making insurance work for the poor. Current practices and lessons learnt.

The travel of the 90 participants from 24 countries caused about 170 tons of CO2. These greenhouse gas emissions were compensated. The compensation is achieved in the following carbon-offset project: „Clean electricity for rural population, India“ - Project No. 1003, carried out by the Swiss non-profit organisation "myclimate".
