Grzegorz Buczkowski, TUW SKOK, Poland

Grzegorz Buczkowski is president of the insurance companies of the Polish credit union movement – TUW SKOK, a mutual property and casualty insurance company, and TU SKOK Życie SA, a life insurance company.  TUW SKOK and TU SKOK Życie SA provide quality insurance services to Polish credit unions and credit union members; both are fully owned by Polish credit union movements.

Mr. Buczkowski has 15 years’ experience with the Polish credit union movement, which he has served in various capacities, starting from the position of Foreign Relations Officer with Foundation for Polish Credit Unions.  He spent 5 years as managing director at TU SKOK Benefit SA – a joint life insurance operation of CUNA Mutual Group and Foundation for Polish Credit Unions; since 1997, he has been president of TUW SKOK, the mutual property and casualty insurance company of the Polish credit union movement.  During his tenure, TUW SKOK has become an exclusive provider of insurance products of services to Polish credit unions and credit union members, showing consistent growth and profitability since first year of operations.  Since 2003, he has been president of TU SKOK Życie – the life insurance company acquired by Polish credit union system from Metropolitan Life, Inc.

Mr Buczkowski has also served as consultant to European Union’s PHARE Programme, United Nations’ Development Programme and World Bank’s CGAP Programme.
