Shri G. Prabhakara, IRDA , IndiaShri G.Prabhakara joined IRDA in December, 2006 as a whole-time Member and looks after the various regulatory issues of all the Life Insurance Companies. He is a Post Graduate in Mathematics from Mysore University and joined Life Insurance Corporation as a direct recruit Officer. Has working experience of nearly three decades in Insurance. Has worked in different capacities in Life Insurance Corporation of India. Has experience of working as Dy. General Manager of LIC Mutual Fund, Sr. Divisional Manager, Regional Manager (Mktg.) and Zonal Manager in LIC. Worked as Chief Vigilance Officer of United India Insurance Company, one of the Premier Public Sector General Insurance Companies. Prior to joining IRDA, worked in the capacity of Executive Director of LIC in-charge of Southern Zone. Participated in many National and International Seminars and presented papers on various topics like Development of Insurance Industry, Insurance Education & Awareness and Micro Insurance. His hobbies and interests are listening to Music and reading. |
