César Prado, Superintendente Financiero, ColombiaMr. Prado is currently the head of the financial supervisory agency in Colombia (Superintendendencia Financiera de Colombia), which is an integrated agency for the supervision of the banking, insurance and pension funds sectors, as well as the securities market. He is a lawyer from Universidad del Rosario (Bogota, Colombia) and holds a master degree in law (LL.M.) from The London School of Economics. Before his current post, he led the financial regulation office at the Colombian Ministry of Finance and was head of the Issuers Department at the former Securities Superintendence. He is former head of the legal department of the Colombian Citigroup pension management fund and was associated lawyer at a local leading law firm engaged in banking law. Mr. Prado has also been member of the board of directors of Leasing Citibank and the advisory board of the Financial Superintendence. He has been lecturer on banking law at Universidad de los Andes and Universidad del Rosario in Bogota. |
