Maxime Prud’Homme, SOCODEVI, Canada

Maxime Prud’Homme has 17 years’ experience as a project management and execution consultant in the following areas:

  • Development of the private sector: contributing to the development of agricultural and mutual cooperatives (microfinance and microinsurance) with the aim of improving the income, living conditions, access to credit and social protection of people in rural environments.
  • Agriculture: with a special emphasis on the marketing of export crops (cocoa, coffee, palm oil, shea butter (karité) and rice), the liberalisation of agricultural markets and improvements in productivity.
  • Education: in particular informal and formal adult education, and providing support (coaching and advice) for managers, employees and representatives of the cooperatives and mutuals we support.

He holds a degree in cooperative management and development and, being also a qualified accountant with know-how in financial management and audit.As a programme manager over the last ten years, he has acquired a useful mix of competencies and experiences, managing a number of projects associated with international development. He has been involved in all aspects of the project-management cycle – project identification, planning, organisation and monitoring, control and assessment.
