Call for applications

We are seeking a consultant as Chief Editor for the Report of the International Conference on Inclusive Insurance. 

Around end of October each, the Munich Re Foundation is hosting the “International Conference on Inclusive Insurancein cooperation with a national partner and the Microinsurance Networks. The event will be attended by over 400 experts from the fields of politics, trade and industry, and research. The programme will comprise 4 half-day workshops, 18 parallel and plenary sessions and one field trip.

Your profile

• Ideally insurance professional preferable with focus on inclusive insurance
• Excellent knowledge of the English language
• Good writing skills

Your responsibilities

• Provide the Munich Re Foundation with reporting services in connection with the execution of and follow-up to the conference.
  
• Record the main contents of all events staged at the conference. To this end, the chief editor will participate in the conference.
• Lead the team of 3 additional volunteering rapporteurs.
• Prepare a final written report on the conference in English with the following volume: Approx. 1000 words each per session, including a box with main findings/conclusions/recommendations and, if possible, at least one graph taken from one of the presentations. The final report shall consist of a summary of the main contents of the events and a report on the most important discussion points and main results of the conference.

Yearly timeline for the conference report

• by 10 January 20XX, to produce the first draft of the report (electronic version) covering all sessions as described above with the help of three rapporteurs selected in agreement with the chief editor
• by 7 February 20XX, to look after and complete the review and approval of the first draft by all facilitators (and speakers if possible); and
• by 15 February 20XX, to deliver the draft report (electronic version) approved by the facilitators of the session to the Munich Re Foundation
• by 15 April 20XX, to review the layouted version of the conference report
