Founded in 1987, it promotes the development and sustainability of the private insurance sector, offering legal and technical guidance, training, and up-to-date industry information. FEDESEG acts as a unified voice for its members before national and international authorities.

      

    Junta de Política y Regulación Financiera

    The JPRF is Ecuador’s authority responsible for setting policies and regulations in the areas of finance, credit, insurance, securities, and prepaid healthcare services. Its mission is to promote the welfare of Ecuadorian society, safeguard financial stability, and foster inclusion. The JPRF aims to build trust among financial actors and the public through best practices, transparency, and innovative principles.

      

    Superintendencia de Compañias, Valores y Seguros

    The SCVS is an autonomous body that oversees and regulates companies, the securities market, and the insurance sector in Ecuador. Its mission is to ensure transparent and reliable business activity through effective supervision and services. The SCVS aims to be recognized for quality service and efficient management, playing a key role in the development of these industries.

    Microinsurance Network (MiN)

    The MiN  is the only global multi-stakeholder platform of the microinsurance industry and experts, with some 80 institutional members from over 40 countries, committed to promoting the development and delivery of effective risk management tools, including insurance services, for unserved people.  

    Munich Re Foundation (MRF)

    The Munich Re Foundation effectively supports people in risk situations and helps to avoid risks.   It stakes a claim to finding long-term solutions. Our aim is to prepare people to cope with risk and to improve their living conditions.

    Access to Insurance Initiative (A2ii)

    A2ii is the "implementation arm" of the International Association of Insurance Supervisors (IAIS) on Inclusive Insurance. It is a unique global partnership working to ensure that the world's excluded and underserved have access to insurance, allowing them to take control of their lives and reduce their vulnerability against risks.

    Alianza Insurtech Panamericana (AIP)

    The (AIP) is a non-profit alliance of leading Latin American insurtech associations that seeks to modernize and make the region’s insurance market more inclusive through collaboration, innovation, and digitalization. AIP promotes cooperation among insurers, insurtechs, and investors, supports new technologies and regulatory frameworks, and shares industry knowledge to foster regional growth.

    AXA Climate

    AXA Climate, established in 2019, provides solutions to help public and private organizations adapt to climate and environmental risks. Their services include insurance products, training, consulting, and software tools that support risk assessment and climate adaptation. They focus on systemic risk management and offer parametric insurance for quick response to climate events.

    Blue Marble

    Blue Marble is a UK-based company developing insurance solutions for underserved populations. Their offerings include index-based climate protection and scalable personal insurance for smallholder farmers, individuals, and small and medium-sized enterprises. Using technology and data, they provide commercially viable coverage that supports income stability, food security, and risk management across diverse markets.

      

    CGAP

    CGAP is a global partnership of more than  30 leading development organizations  that works to advance the lives of people living in poverty, especially women, through financial inclusion.  CGAP works at the frontier of inclusive finance to test solutions, spark innovation, generate evidence, and share insights.

    FinProbity Solutions  

    FinProbity Solutions works with financial service providers to deliver innovative client centric solutions that meet the needs of diverse market segments. Clientele includes financial institutions and development organisations with a mandate to develop inclusive financial services markets.

    Global Shield

    Launched at COP27 by the Vulnerable Twenty (V20) Group and the Group of Seven (G7), the Global Shield against Climate Risks aims to increase protection for vulnerable people and countries and contribute to effectively responding to loss and damage from climate change. The Global Shield promotes an inclusive, gender-sensitive and demand-driven process, which is led by the vulnerable countries’ governments.  

    International Association of Insurance Supervisors  (IAIS)  

    The International Association of Insurance Supervisors (IAIS) is the global standard-setting body responsible for developing and supporting the implementation of principles, standards, guidance and supporting material for supervising the insurance sector.

    ILO's Social Finance Programme  


    The ILO's Social Finance Programme works with the financial sector to explore ways in which it can promote decent work and social justice. The ILO's engagement with the financial sector takes three forms, each dealing with a different set of players: financial inclusion, impact insurance, and sustainable investing.

    Abdul Latif Jameel Poverty Action Lab (J-PAL)

    The Abdul Latif Jameel Poverty Action Lab (J-PAL) is a global research centre that works to reduce poverty by ensuring policy is informed by scientific evidence. With a network of over 1,100 researchers at universities worldwide, J-PAL carries out randomised impact evaluations to address key issues in the fight against poverty.

    MicroInsurance Centre at Milliman

    Since its foundation in 2000, the MicroInsurance Centre at Milliman (formerly MicroInsurance Centre, LLC) has been instrumental in driving forward the concepts, innovation and quality of microinsurance. It is part of a growing sector which currently provides financial risk management solutions to tens of millions of people worldwide.

    Microinsurance Master  

    Microinsurance Master was founded in response to the need for a comprehensive accelerator programme for ambitious organisations and their leaders. Its main activity is the annual 10-week Microinsurance Master accelerator programme, which has been running since 2018.

    Rio Uruguay Seguros (RUS)

    Rio Uruguay Seguros (RUS) is an Argentine cooperative insurance company focused on improving infrastructure and service quality. It actively collaborates within the insurance sector and has formed key strategic alliances nationally and internationally.

    UNDP Insurance and Risk Finance Facility

    As the United Nations lead agency on international development, UNDP works in 170 countries and territories to eradicate poverty and reduce inequality.  The  UNDP Insurance and Risk Finance Facility  (IRFF) will  deliver  innovative protection  solutions in 50 developing countries by 2025. It supports the development of innovative insurance products and services that are aimed towards vulnerable people and communities while also investing in the long term transformation of insurance markets.  

    UN Sustainable Development Solutions Network (SDSN)

    The SDSN works at the intersection of science, policy, and development practice, maximizing SDG achievements across global, regional, national, and local levels. In partnership with UN agencies, multilateral financing institutions, governments, academia, civil society, and the private sector, the SDSN develops science-based pathways for SDG implementation, promotes independent monitoring and accountability for sustainable development progress, identifies persisting gaps and priorities through feedback loops to adapt long-term SDG strategies, and facilitates peer-to-peer learning, knowledge sharing, and the exchange of best practices.
