The world keeps on turning. It is constantly developing and changing day to day. This is nothing new. The difference nowadays is the speed at which things are changing. Particular skills are needed to comprehend and monitor these changes in a proactive way. They include a willingness to innovate, interdisciplinary knowledge, and a sustainable view of the world. This is precisely what the course in Global Change Management at Eberswalde University tries to impart.

The Munich Re Foundation has invited around 30 Master's students to Munich every year until 2023. Over the course of an intensive week of seminars, we discussed various global issues with them and with colleagues from Munich Re. These include subjects such as “agricultural insurance and food security” and “climate change risks in the investment portfolio”. The students worked out solutions and presented them to a panel of specialists.
